Product & Features
Who approves leave requests?
On the Advanced and Pro plans, approval rights follow team leadership: any user can be made a Team Leader for one or more teams and approves that team's requests, while Admins can approve anything in the organization. Teams can also be set to auto-approve. On the Free plan, every request is approved automatically.
Can I customize leave types?
Yes. Admins can create custom leave types with their own name, calendar color, and sort order, and mark them as sick or unpaid so they're tracked separately in reports. Built-in types can be renamed or deactivated, but a type that has ever been used can't be deleted.
Can I sync leave with Google Calendar or Outlook?
Yes, on the Advanced and Pro plans. Each user gets personal, team, and company calendar feeds (ICS) of approved leave — subscribe once in Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar and it stays up to date automatically.
Does Collabin have an API?
Yes. Pro plan organizations can generate read-only or read-write API keys for our REST API to list users, teams, leave types, and leave requests, or create requests programmatically — useful for custom reports and integrations.
Can Collabin notify Slack or other tools about leave requests?
Yes, with Pro plan webhooks. Subscribe to events like a new request or a status change, and Collabin sends a signed notification to your URL — post it to Slack or Teams directly, or route it through n8n or Make without writing any code.
Can someone belong to more than one team?
Yes. A user can be a member of multiple teams, and when they request leave, the leaders of every team they belong to are notified so any of them can approve. The Free plan allows 1 team, Advanced up to 10, and Pro is unlimited.
Can employees see when colleagues are on leave?
Yes. Every signed-in user sees a shared calendar of approved leave across the organization, including public holidays — so checking who's away doesn't mean asking around.
What languages does Collabin support?
Collabin is currently available in English, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak, and German, and each person can choose their own language regardless of the rest of the organization's settings.
Can I export our leave data?
Yes. Advanced and Pro plans include HR report exports for any date range, and you can request a full export of your organization's data at any time — your data is never locked in.

Is there a free plan available?
Yes, you can use our Free plan indefinitely for up to 5 users.
Can I change my plan later?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the admin dashboard.

How does billing work?
We use a secure Merchant of Record service. They handle all payments, subscriptions, and tax compliance globally.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal and Google Pay.
Where can I get my invoice?
Invoices are sent directly to your email after every successful payment. You can also view and download them anytime within the application.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts — you can cancel anytime from your settings. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period.
Is our company data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each company's data is fully isolated — no one can access another organization's data.
Is Collabin GDPR compliant?
Yes. Collabin operates from the EU and data is stored on EU servers. You can request a data export or account deletion at any time.
